We Love Pets
PMAH is a family owned, state of the art full-service veterinary hospital focused on providing exceptional care to the animals in the communities of Acton, Concord, Maynard, Sudbury, Stow, and surrounding towns. Our practice is made up of highly talented veterinary professionals who are passionate about animals and will take care of each pet as if it were their own.
The PMAH founders started this hospital with a goal to improve the status quo of quality care for animals as well as the full client experience that pet owners demand for their loving pet.
DR. ANNE FIELD, DVM
Veterinarian and Owner
Dr. Field earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University, the No. 1 school in the U.S. for veterinary medicine, and an undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Maine. Prior to starting PMAH, Dr. Field was a veterinarian at The Animal Hospital of Lynnfield (Lynnfield, MA), and at Countryside Animal Hospital (Chelmsford, MA).
Dr. Field is proud to run a progressive animal hospital where clients can feel great about the quality of care their loving pets deserve. She enjoys educating clients about their pets and is skilled in performing medical, dental, and surgical procedures to dogs, cats, and exotics.
When not working, Dr. Field loves spending time with her family, she has two little girls (Zoe and Abbie) and two Newfoundlands (Belle and Olive). She embraces an active lifestyle and tries to foster that same joy of outdoor adventures to her children. The family loves hiking, traveling, winter sports, and running.
Veterinary Technician Manager, CVT
Rebecca joins Powder Mill Animal Hospital with over 8 years experience in the veterinary industry. She is a Certified Veterinary Technician, she earned her bachelors degree in Biology from the University of New Hampshire and studied Veterinary Technology at the Essex Agricultural and Technical High School.
Rebecca enjoys all aspects of surgery, emergency medicine, and senior pet care. She is excited to bring her knowledge and dedication to pets and their families at Powder Mill Animal Hospital.
Outside of work Rebecca is an avid equestrian, enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, and being with her family. She lives with her husband, and two cats Martini, and Fluff.
Jessica is a native of Westford, MA who has been surrounded by animals since a very young age. Growing up, Jess' parents instilled her with a love of animals; she had dogs, cats, ferrets, birds, and even a skunk! Jess has a background in Biotechnology and started working as a Veterinary Technician in 2007. Jess has experience caring for exotic pets, dogs, cats, and pocket pets.
Outside of work, Jess is passing on her love of animals to her daughter as they have two cats, a dog, a Russian tortoise, and a ball python.
Marissa earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of New Hampshire in Zoology, Animal Behavior, and Spanish. After graduation, Marissa completed internships working with marine mammals at Dolphins Plus in Key Largo as well as the New England Aquarium in Boston.
Prior to joining Powder Mill Animal Hospital, Marissa served as a Placement Trainer at Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers for the Disabled where she trained capuchin monkeys as service animals for people living with a variety of disabilities. Marissa’s strong academic background, diverse animal behavior experience and her passion for animal medicine combine to make her a great Veterinary Technician at PMAH.
Outside of work Marissa enjoys exploring Boston with her boyfriend and friends and spending time with her cat Andy.
Rebecca is currently a senior at Becker College in the dual pre-veterinary/veterinary technician major. Her dedication to this intensive program has distinguished her as a student, where she now tutors other students in the program’s more strenuous classes. She has particular interest in hematology and pharmacology. She has also earned high honors, including the Aspiring Scholar in Veterinary Science Award, and she seamlessly integrates her studies with her work at Powder Mill Animal Hospital. She plans to continue on to veterinary school.
Rebecca grew up on Lost Lake in Groton, Massachusetts, surrounded by all the animals her parents would allow. She further fostered her love for animals by becoming the neighborhood pet sitter throughout her childhood before moving on to volunteer at the Lowell Humane Society. At home, Rebecca loves spending time around Lost Lake with her family. She reads and listens to music in the company of her dog, cat and rabbit.
