We Love Pets

PMAH is a family owned, state of the art full-service veterinary hospital focused on providing exceptional care to the animals in the communities of Acton, Concord, Maynard, Sudbury, Stow, and surrounding towns. Our practice is made up of highly talented veterinary professionals who are passionate about animals and will take care of each pet as if it were their own.

The PMAH founders started this hospital with a goal to improve the status quo of quality care for animals as well as the full client experience that pet owners demand for their loving pet.

Veterinarian and Owner

Dr. Field earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University, and an undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Maine.  Prior to starting PMAH, Dr. Field was a veterinarian at The Animal Hospital of Lynnfield (Lynnfield, MA), and at Countryside Animal Hospital (Chelmsford, MA).

Dr. Field is proud to run a progressive animal hospital where clients can feel great about the quality of care their loving pets deserve.  She enjoys educating clients about their pets and is skilled in performing medical, dental, and surgical procedures to dogs, cats, and exotics.

When not working, Dr. Field loves spending time with her family, she has two little girls (Zoe and Abbie) and two Newfoundlands (Belle and Olive).  She embraces an active lifestyle and tries to foster that same joy of outdoor adventures to her children.  The family loves hiking, traveling, winter sports, and running.

Dr. Kang grew up in Acton and always knew she wanted to work with animals and their families. She studied Molecular Biology at Yale University and received her veterinary degree from Cornell University. After practicing for several years in California, she is thrilled to be back in her hometown and part of the Powder Mill Animal Hospital team.

Dr. Kang’s professional interests include surgery, dentistry, shelter medicine and end-of-life care. She advocates for reducing fear and stress in the clinic whenever possible, especially when handling shy cats.
